Maharani Season 4 Review: Real Politics Retired, Fiction Took Over!

Imagine if a CM becomes so powerful that even the PM has to seek their help to save their own position.

But in such a scenario, will the CM help them?

Or will they strengthen their own party and challenge the PM?

This is what we get to see in Maharani Season 4, where this time, PM Joshi stands opposite Rani Bharti in their confrontation.

Then the Maheshwari Commission files are opened, and what destruction follows? How do strangers become close? How do relationships form with strangers, and what kind of internal politics occur – ready for all this.

The series has eight episodes, each with an average length of 45 minutes. The final episode is 1 hour and 12 minutes long, while the starting episode is 55 minutes long.

The flow of the show is quite good and well-set. But to fully understand what’s going on, you’ll definitely need to watch the previous seasons of Maharani.

Ahead, the type of politics we get to see, especially internal politics, shows:

  • How an influential person tries to misuse their power.
  • How a CM, who started without much understanding, is now running the entire state.

This intricate weaving of events is what we get to observe this time, and to a large extent, it also feels quite good.

If I talk about thrill, if you are a fan of political thrillers, this show will definitely impress you in many places.

In my opinion, even within politics, there is a kind of family politics, where questions like who will be chosen for the CM post arise.

So, that curiosity is what you get to see here and there, and to a large extent, it manages to impress you.

When its first season came out, it was inspired by a real incident. But now, somehow, this real story is stepping into a fictional world.

Because till now, no CM in Bihar has come who has done something good for the people there.

The way the show has been portraying the dark side of politics so far is good to see.

The grounded stuff we usually expect in a show – this show is purely grounded.

Just think about the type of political genre shows coming out in India these days – there’s cursing and crude stuff everywhere.

But here, there were many moments where, of course, there could have been swear words, but they completely avoided them and focused only on an intense thriller.

That is really good.

Bro, the way Huma Qureshi keeps flipping characters is giving major ex vibes! Like, damn-how smoothly she flipped into that Bihari accent!

As I mentioned, the show is completely grounded, and apart from Huma Qureshi, all the other actors have done their part perfectly.

Yes, the show might feel a bit long in some places, but since people have been reducing their attention spans by watching reels, it will feel quite lengthy to them.

Also, I didn’t find the climax particularly special. I mean, just imagine making a cup of tea and putting salt instead of sugar, how would that feel? Just like that, I felt the climax was.

From what I saw, it seems that Season 5 will also come. And as a request, I hope the story comes to a conclusion in the fifth season because now it feels like they are dragging it.

Watching the show will definitely be enjoyable, especially for fans of political thrillers.

I would give the show 7 and a half out of 10.

No need for parental guidance; the show is family-friendly.

Review done. Tea spilled.

See you when the next controversy brews.
