To tell the truth, how many people know about the Emmy Awards, also called the TV Oscars?
Five years ago, in 2020, an Indian show won that award and became number one in the entire world.
Yet, the actress of that show said that the award doesn’t matter to her because the content of their show is enough to move the viewers from within.
I am talking about Delhi Crime, perhaps it is one of the best films in the entire history of Indian cinema. Whether on OTT or in theaters, it’s world-class.
Last week at the theater, Yami Gautam showed that a movie doesn’t need the box office to be good. Her acting alone is enough to win over the public.
So now it’s time for another underrated name, Shefali Shah, who, according to me, deserves the position of the number one actress in the entire country.
Why I say this, you will understand when you watch the show.
So yes, Boss, Delhi Crime is back. It has brought Season 3. Even if you haven’t watched the previous two seasons, no tension. This is a new story starting from zero.
Let me clear up another misunderstanding for you. Just because there is a female lead doesn’t mean it’s one-sided like other girls’ movies. Absolutely not, because in this show, both the hero and the villain are women.
So, like the previous two seasons, this show is also based on a real-life crime case, which, when I googled, literally made my soul shiver.
A tiny two-year-old girl is left alone by a woman at Delhi’s biggest hospital, AIIMS, and the woman runs away.
But before hearing what happened to the girl, I would like to give a warning. Things like this shouldn’t even be shown or talked about. It’s very disturbing.
Her head was badly fractured, and both the bones of her arms were broken. There were bite marks from a human on her body, and the most shocking thing was clearly visible burn marks on both her cheeks caused by a press.
When someone saw this girl in the hospital, no one would have thought she would expose the biggest crime racket in Delhi’s history, which would give birth to a suspense thriller series.
So this show is based on human trafficking. In simple words, buying and selling a human being in which many movies have already been made.
But nothing like Delhi Crime has been made to date because it will not emotionally blackmail you by selling the helplessness of girls, but will intelligently expose the devil behind it.
Often, people say that a woman is the biggest enemy of a woman, and by watching six episodes of this season in 4 hours, you will know that thing is absolutely true.
By the way, I’ve spilled some tea on the K-drama As You Stood By, which dives into domestic violence and toxic marriages. If emotional and realistic stories are your thing, you should definitely check out that review.
Badi Didi, this name is heard in the ears of the Delhi Police as if someone is being abused.
How a woman was making the country’s capital dance at her fingertips. She was trafficking girls internationally right under the police’s noses.
But what does such a big mafia don have to do with a two-year-old girl? As strange as this question is, the answer presented is equally terrifying, yet fascinating, an investigation.
This terrifying case will have many twists that will mentally disturb you. But in the climax, you will understand the mindset that drives a person to do all this.
Huma Qureshi has dominated this season with such shamelessness and audacity. You will be amazed watching it and wonder why Bollywood has never been able to use her like this.
On the other hand, Shafali Shah’s character, without any big action scenes or long dialogues, compels you to respect her for the police purely through her acting.
And the side characters of this show will all grab your attention. Watching them in the show, you’ll keep pondering what we are learning from them.
I would like to give 4 out of 5 stars for the acting, story, direction, and for showing a human side of the police.
The negatives are just one, but it’s big because Badi Didi’s story was not just to be told. Her past should have been shown so that more hatred could be built in the heart, and the emotions for the show could increase.
Tea spilled.
