While traveling from Haridwar to Prayagraj, I was watching Stranger Things. I was pretty deep into the last episode when I got a notification for Ekaki.
I swear, I abandoned Stranger Things like a toxic ex and jumped straight to it because Ashish Chanchlani was finally making a comeback after so many years with something new called Ekaki.
I’ve been watching him for so long that my curiosity was sky-high. So whatever I was watching had to wait.
And no, I’m not calling Stranger Things bad or anything. Trust me, I’ve already confessed how Stranger Things turned into my latest addiction. It just lost the priority battle for a minute.

Chapter one is out, and it’s only thirty-six minutes long, and the next chapter will come on the 8th of December 2025.
So, did this half-hour episode awaken any hopes for Ashish’s comeback?
Let’s spill some hot tea on it.
Ekaki Chapter 1 Ashish Chanchlani Review
Look, honestly, I had high expectations of Ashish Chanchlani that he would do something different, and I know I shouldn’t judge this half-hour episode, but I feel I should share what I experienced.
Look, seven friends go to an old villa to enjoy the weekend, and towards the very end of this episode, they realize that something strange is happening, which is completely abnormal.
That’s pretty much it in this episode, in which they try to entertain you with jokes we can largely connect with, similar to the regular videos he used to make before.
The kind of jokes Ashish would include in his old videos can also be seen here, with some similar scenarios.
In one or two places, you’ll genuinely laugh, while in some places, you might not.

When Ashish’s friend says that your dominance is no more, that is a well-written dialogue related to their weight loss.
Then there was one moment when I laughed so hard because a whole dialogue was delivered by just replacing one word.
Ashish Chanchlani’s Ekaki is a real ‘better late than never’ moment, which currently includes all YouTubers and social media personalities whose acting is in no way less than that of any stage actor.
Other than that, see, there isn’t really any spoiler I can tell you that would be revealed. Because if you watch the trailer and then watch the episode, it feels like almost ninety percent of the trailer is cut from this episode itself.
So, Ashish is definitely hiding something big that we’ll find out in the next episode or the next chapter.
You disappeared for two years. Honestly, you could’ve stayed off for another six months, but at least give us the full episodes.
This act of torturing and killing that you’re doing isn’t right.
Anyway,
We all love Ashish Chanchlani. Support will always be there.

By the way, I have to admit that Ashish’s followers are impressive. The guy has gained genuine subscribers. Within an hour, there were more than six lakh views.
Conclusion
So guys, it was an enjoyable ride. Only about five percent was the horror part. I can say around eighty percent was comedy. And the remaining ten to fifteen percent was a bit flat, but still enjoyable.
But I know that after watching this episode, you also feel like it ended as soon as it started.
Anyway, we’ll check the ratings once the series is complete. And yes, Ashish bro’s content can be watched with family, but in separate rooms. The rest, you guys are smart enough to understand.
