On one side, we have Amazon Prime, where second seasons take years to arrive. On the other hand, we have its younger sibling, Amazon MX Player, which has us waiting only 4 months, not years, for Season 2.
Yes, I’m talking about Season 2 of Munawar Faruqui’s show First Copy, which has just been released.
So, how is it? Is it worth giving time? Let’s spill some tea on this.
Story and Setup
First Copy Season 2 starts from where the first one ended. So, to become properly familiar with Season 2, you’ll definitely need to watch the first Season first.
This time in Season 2, we get to see that Arif has come from jail again. Now he is having fights with his wife, and he is not getting along with his friends.
In the meantime, how will Arif take his business forward?
To know all these things, you’ll have to watch Season 2, which has 10 episodes, each around 25 minutes long.

First Copy Season 2 Review
If I review First Copy Season 2 in one line:
For me, it’s an above-average show.
See friends, this show tries many dynamics. Tries to show many things which, of course, were good.
But many things seemed as if they were just forced.
Some parts make sense, others just don’t.
In the first season, the show starts with a music cassette. But later turned into piracy.
This time piracy was taken further – we even saw bringing Hindi dubbed pictures, how producers turn black money into white, and by the end, it dives into the internet zone.
So that means the doors are open for Season 3, where you will get to see how piracy is happening in today’s time, which, of course, excites but I found this show to be too long.
At many places, so many subplots were inserted that it seemed as if Khichdi was brewing.
The show even tries to cover the rise of soft porn and its effects on children and families.
I guess if this show had focused more on just two or three things, then maybe I might have praised it more.
Characters and Performances
One character that didn’t make sense to me was Roma, a flop actress why is she loving Arif so much? Arif was a kind of thief, and she was falling in love with him.
Nothing makes sense.
Producers were crazy about arranging a marriage with Roma, but again, as i said, she is failing in love with Arif only, so this angle was beyond my understanding.
It has to be said that the dialogues of the show are very good and are definitely going to go viral on reels.
Apart from this, there are many songs in the show that were decently canned.
If I talk about acting, Munawar Faruqui has done a great job this time. Meaning, you can see a lot of improvement in his acting.
Gulshan Grover was here for a short time, but he left an impact.
The rest of the cast performs well, too.
Final Verdict
Overall, you can watch First Copy Season 2 once, as long as you don’t expect too much. I’d rate it 5.5/10.
Parental Guidelines
There’s a lot of abusive language, though most of it beeped (for some reason only in the first few episodes).
There were one or two kissing scenes, but they were not clear.
