I’ve been binge-watching Stranger Things for the past three days.
Yes, I haven’t seen a single episode of Stranger Things, shame on me.
So from Season One all the way to Season Five Volume One, I’ve been watching it nonstop for the past three days. And honestly, that had its own kind of fun.
I hope you’ve seen the previous four seasons. So, let’s spill some tea.
Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 Review
Look, the Harry Potter film series has had such a profound impact on my life that I start associating everything magical or sorcerer-related with Harry Potter.
Now, let me explain why I’m saying this.
Look, like Voldemort, there’s a villain here, Vecna, who was revealed in the fourth season.
Like Harry Potter, there’s a child named Will who looks like a literal Harry Potter.
And as the Harry Potter series explains, Harry had the power to enter Voldemort’s mind, or Voldemort had the power to speak through Harry Potter’s mind.
Similarly, Stranger Things is like the same cup of tea.
There, too, Harry’s friends always stood by Harry. Here, too, Will’s friends always supported him.
And look, I don’t want to compare at all, nor am I doing it.
I am just saying that there are some similar things that I majorly noticed because I watched the entire season together, and all the seasons are absolutely praiseworthy.
I can say it’s one of the best series I’ve seen recently. Only the second season felt a bit middling, but the series’ subsequent build-up in the third and fourth seasons undoubtedly generated so much hype that it crashed Netflix.
But let’s talk about this fifth and final season, whose Volume One has four episodes.
The next volume will be released on December 26th, 2025, with three more episodes, and the final episode will air on December 31st, 2025.
Stranger Things once again generated so much hype that people will surely wait another month.
So, this season also raises the bar a notch higher. Especially in the final episode.
Bro, you’ll be blown away when Will… No, I can’t explain.
But this is a series that blends the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres and provides full-on entertainment.
I noticed that throughout the series–I’m talking about seasons one through five–I may have binge-watched the series, but the amazing thing is that I didn’t feel bored at any point.
Yes, initially, many questions popped up in my mind, like:
- How could this happen?
- Why is this happening?
- Where did Vecna come from?
- Why is Will having visions?
Much, much, much more.
But because I have a lot of patience and curiosity, I kept finding answers.
As I progressed through the episodes, Stranger Things slowly became an addiction for me.
The unique world depicted in it, called the Upside Down, takes us to a different dimension.
I’m literally telling you, for the last three days, whenever the lights flickered in the show, I actually felt like someone was trying to contact me, too.
But anyway, maybe that’s what fantasy is all about.
All the characters have become quite relatable. The friendship between the four friends, their love, their families, and Hopper’s caring for Eleven. All this fiction transforms the fantasy world into a family drama.
But from an audience perspective, it’s not family-friendly. There are swear words and kisses, but none of the scenes feel vulgar.
And yes, the Hindi dubbing is one of the best examples of how to dub English content into Hindi without changing its meaning.
Like the other seasons, this is also a must-watch series, and overall, Season 5 Vol 1 was a four out of five-star experience for me.
So tell me how you liked Season 5 Vol 1?
