The Abandons Netflix Review: Real Tea Before You Watch This Western Drama

So, there’s a unique joy in watching Western shows. The makers work hard to recreate the old era, and we get to learn about things that have now disappeared from this world.

Whether it’s Western history or our own, a well-made period drama is always fun to watch.

But one thing to keep in mind is that not everyone has the talent to make every Western series feel like a masterpiece or an epic. And that’s exactly what happens with this series, which has finally arrived on Netflix as The Abandons.

This series is seven episodes long. It’s available in Hindi. Please note that it’s not a family-friendly show, so avoid watching it with your family.

I don’t want to make the topic too long, and there’s not much to say about the series itself.

Story

This series takes place in the 18th century, and difficult times begin for Flona and her family when a powerful family tries to take over Flona’s land.

This sparks a war between the two families.

To find out how this conflict will end, you’ll have to watch the series.

Let’s spill some tea

Now, let’s talk about my experience watching this series.

This series is a mediocre Western drama that depicts a battle for land and revenge between two families. You’ll definitely find some intense moments, including gunfights and chases.

But this isn’t an action-heavy drama; you won’t see much action.

Rest, the story isn’t particularly gripping. If you’ve seen many crime dramas, then some elements of this story will feel familiar and predictable.

You’ll also notice a lack of emotional weight in the story and characters.

Yes, the actors’ performances are good, especially the two female leads, and I really want to praise them.

The music and production work of this series are also excellent.

Conclusion

In short, I think this is a below-average series, so I’d rate this series 6/10.

I want to remind you that if any of you enjoy slow-burning Western crime dramas, you can watch this series for time-passing with low expectations. Otherwise, you can skip this series.

And yes, the story hasn’t ended in Season 1 yet. Season 2 will also be coming. As I mentioned earlier, this series isn’t meant for family viewing.
